Livingbridge, the leading mid-market private equity firm, empowers your business to unlock its true potential. This is investment done the right way - built on ambition and experience.
The company is a collective of highly driven people from incredibly diverse operational, financial and entrepreneurial backgrounds. Each going all-in, from day-one. It’s the only way they know. Livingbridge was initially known, until November 2014, as Isis Equity Partners - but re-branded for some bizarre reason.
This project not only enhanced their social media presence but also demonstrated how thoughtful animation design can transform brand storytelling.
“...we are no longer prepared to share our name with a terrorist organisation...
Usually using agency Kin+Carta, the agency themselves hired me through Yuno Juno to create a short-form animation for use on video channels and social media. Kin+Karta's efforts over the years had been lacklustre so they needed something with more pizazz.
The first stage involved reading the script several times and making some sketches and note in my sketchbook. After reviewing Kin+Carta's previous output, I identified an opportunity to go beyond basic animation styles by introducing a more conceptual approach. The goal was to craft an animation with a compelling narrative thread, ensuring it stood out and captured the viewer's attention.
Working through some sketches, I was interested in using an image that would remain constant throughout - a circle. The circle could transform into a multiple of different objects that would transform to fit the subject of the scene.
For example, for the scene indicating the number of year Livingbridge have been in operation I used a top down image of a birthday cake from the top, converting the circle into planets for the global nature of the business, which could then in turn expand the viewport into outer space as the scene transitions to the next.
Usually the porcess become very organic and can change as more ideas come to mind or ideas that have lready been established are deemed too complex, or simply will not work as initially envisioned, are cast aside.
the process of making styleframes involves creating a series of still frame images that feature the scene. Once these are created then they can be transferred into Adobe After Effects. This used to be . very long, tedious and laborious process but with Battleaxe's Overlord plugin the procedure becomes instantaneous.
